Trainer and assessor positions

Trainers and assessors are the backbone of our RTO (Registered Training Organisation). They develop student knowledge and skills through a range of activities including assessing learning needs, advising students, facilitating programs, marking, maintaining records, and curriculum design.

What the role involves

Daily tasks include identifying student learning needs, providing course guidance, facilitating learning through presentations and workshops, marking coursework, maintaining records, and occasionally conducting workplace visits.

What you’ll need

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with upgrade units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
  • Relevant, up-to-date qualifications in the industry you teach.
  • Current industry experience (currency in your field is mandatory); prior trainer and assessor experience is not essential.
  • A genuine desire for ongoing professional development.
