Sistahood

A network of women driving real change

The Sistahood is a network of strong, supportive women at Novaskill who drive new ideas and create change on the issues that affect women in our business, our industry and our community. Novaskill, a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Group Training Organisation (GTO) established in 1980, supports the Sistahood as part of our commitment to women across the Hunter, Newcastle and Northern Rivers regions of NSW.

We are all about talking about the big issues, creating change, having a genuine impact and, above all else, making a real difference to the lives of all sistas in our community.

Women of the Novaskill Sistahood network

What is the Novaskill Sistahood?

The Sistahood is Novaskill’s women’s network: a group of women who champion connection, collaboration and personal development for women in training, employment and the wider community. It is a community initiative, not a course, and it sits alongside our women-focused training such as the Tradie Ladies Training Program.

What does the Sistahood do?

The Sistahood raises and acts on the topics that matter to women in our industry, from workplace culture to career pathways. The group meets to share ideas, support one another and create practical change that benefits women across the Novaskill community.
