Start a trade and earn your ATAR at the same time
The In-school Apprenticeships stream is the construction stream of the Educational Pathways Pilot Program (EPPP), a school-based program for high-school students who want a head start on a trade. Novaskill, a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) established in 1980, delivers it in partnership with the Department of Education across the Hunter, Newcastle and surrounding NSW regions.
Get a head start on your career and get your ATAR at the same time. The EPPP is designed to improve higher education and career outcomes for young people, and this stream focuses on construction, in particular carpentry.

What does the EPPP construction stream centre on?
The construction stream centres on three things: getting students into school-based apprenticeships, opening up fee-free vocational training, and strengthening careers advice for young people.
Who is the In-school Apprenticeships stream for?
Our focus is on students wishing to pursue a career in construction, and in particular, carpentry. If you are a high-school student who wants hands-on trade skills and a recognised qualification before you leave school, this is your stream.
